North Carolina       ) Know all men by these Presents that Pasquotank County) I Joshua Trueblood of the County and Province aforesaid, Planter, do make and ordain these presents contain my last Will and Testament for the disposal of such wordly Estate

wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life in manner and form following. Viz. – First I will that all my Just debts and funeral Expenses to be paid out of my Estate

in convenient time after my decease.

Imprimus   I give to my Son Aaron Trueblood a Tract of Land and plantation wherein I now live containing thirty acres, be the same more or less, to him and his heirs forever, also my Negro man named Sammy also one feather bed and furniture, and my new gun, two half gallon pewter basons.

Item   I give to my Son Thomas Trueblood a Tract of wood land that I bought of Abel Trueblood, Containing Eighty two acres, be the Same more or less, to him and his heirs and assigns forever, also my Negro Girl named Hannah with all the increase she shall

happen to have after the date hereof to him, and his heirs forever, also one large iron pot, one gallon pewter basin, also one Small pewter basin.

Item  I give and bequeath to my daughter Susanna Trueblood my negro girl named Phebe, with all her increase to her and her heirs forever also one small irin pot also my grey horse

Item  My will is that my loving wife Miriam Trueblood shall have the use and benefit of my land and Plantation whereon I now live during the term of her natural life, also I ???? the use and labour of my Negro woman Rose during her natural life, also my bay mare and side saddle, also five head of cattle and six pewter plates, one middle sized irin pot, and one small irin pot, one dozen Spoons, also one black walnut wheel, also Three

Item  I give and bequesth to my daughters Mary Trueblood and Susanna Trueblood, after the decease of my loving wife Miriam Trueblood, my Negro woman called Rose

with all the increase She Shall happen to have after the date hereof to them and Their heirs and assigns forever.

Item  I give all the residue or remaining part of my Estate not before mentioned in This will to be Equally divided between my four children, viz. Mary Trueblood Susanna Trueblood, Aarin Trueblood, and Thomas Trueblood to there and their disposal forever.

Lastly  I do hereby nominate and appoint my loving wife Miriam Trueblood Executive, and Abel Trueblood Executor of
